I recently came across this plugin called DropKick, which allows you to make really nicely styled drop-down menus. Previously, I had only known about jQuery UI Selectmenu widget by Filament Group, which I was never a huge fan of because of it’s size and dependency on jQuery UI. Dropkick’s allow dependency is the jQuery library itself and weighs in at only 11kb before minification.

Will definitely look to use this in a future project.
